Let There Be Light

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.

Isaiah 9:2

In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness but the darkness has not understood it.

John 1:4, 5.

I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.

John 8:12

My God turns my darkness into light.

Psalm 18:28

The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear?

Psalm 27:1

This Advent season, I’ll be writing daily. Join me in celebrating the Light of the World.

  1. As I’ve shared with others, “Light” is one of my favorite words in the Word. I circle it in my Bible with a purple pen — also glory and wisdom and hope — but Light as the description of our Savior is one of my favorites. He has definitely places “light” in my life… a million times. And pouring it into millions/billions of lives, too. Multiply THOSE billions and it’s hard to even imagine that He can’t pour the light/His Light forth.
